Our home in the mountains
The quotidian Harz
Beautiful Mountains, a UNESCO Protected System of Lakes, and Endless Trails
Headquarters in Clausthal-Zellerfeld
With over 15,000 residents the “mining and university town” Clausthal-Zellerfeld is the center of the upper Harz. Many buildings, historically preserved mines, and the UNESCO World Heritage Site the Upper Harz water management system testify to Clausthal-Zellerfeld’s storied past as one of Europe’s most important mining towns. An abundance of mountain meadows, lakes, and pine forests define the upper Harz as both a unique ecosystem and an exciting excursion.
Production site in Ilsenburg
Ilsenburg lies northeast of Clausthal-Zellerfeld at the foot of the Brocken and on the Ilse River. Its half-timbered houses framed against the Ilse valley paints a picture typical of the Harz. Many beautiful hiking and biking paths start in Ilsenburg.
